Wedding Of The Week Wes and Kirsty

Love and first sight can happen, and it did with this lovely couple.
Both were at a bar one night at the Auckland CBD, where they both met. Kirsty was living in Hamilton where she came up to Auckland for work. Just by chance Wes was with a few friends having a few drinks.

They struck up a conversation and before you know it they were exchanging phone numbers. Wes offered to come down to Hamilton to have dinner together, and things went quickly from there.

Kirsty had been away in Europe for work, and during this time Wes planned for the proposal and the ring. Kirsty being in Europe made it easier for him to plan the big proposal.

When Kirst got home, Wes and her found the perfect ring from Angela Daniels in Newmarket.

Not just a simple proposal like most of us, Wes charterd a helicopter to Waiheke Island and proposed on the roof top of Mudbrick Winery with a delicious three-course lunch. How could Kirsty say no to this?

Finding the perfect venue for the wedding was another love at first sight at Kumeu Valley Estate. There were great options for them and the different options for dinner seemed to fit well.

Typical Auckland weather was a bit of a worry, but waking up on the day, was stunning Auckland weather. The wedding day was amazing and to join Wes and Kirsty were close family and friends. And always made Kirsty feel welcome through all of the fittings.

Kirsty bought her dress from Jessica Bridal in Newmarket, with little altering fitted perfectly. Jeaneete and her team made the process easy.

The two real highlights of the wedding for Kirsty was the outstanding outlook and view and saying her vows in front of family and friends.
Wes’s highlight was walking back in to the venue with Kirsty by his side and all friends and family clapping. It was such an awesome feeling.
